The project has a land area of 2.968 square meter (0.73 acres).It was first opened on the 1st of March 1987.

Since the end of 2009, the hotel is managed by Golden Tulip under the brand name "Golden Tulip Sfax".

The hotel comprises the following :

• A four stars, nine floors hotel with a total capacity of 266 beds allocated on 122 rooms and 8 suites of different sizes.
• A congress center with independent access including an 800 seat multipurpose room for conferences and banquets and 2 commission rooms seating up to 60 persons each.
• Two restaurants.
• An open air swimming pool.
• A night club.
• A Moorish café.
• A shopping center offering a score of 50 shops.
• An indoor hotel parking.
